He wanted to create a club for people to truly enjoy their cars. He knew the world had changed, and he wanted his companies to meet the needs of the new generation of Shelby owners. His vision was to knit together those people with the owners of early Shelby's and give everyone fun new ways to experience their high performance vehicles.   Mr. Shelby imagined a place where owners could talk about their latest conquests at the track, swap stories, share photos and learn new ways to hot rod their cars! He wanted to link all of the enthusiasts into one "dream garage"... thus, Team Shelby was born!   Team Shelby has many free, open access forums, news sections and member only areas dedicated to the community.   In addition, Team Shelby has a full series of events for 2018, which include VIP Experiences, track days, National & Regional gatherings, cruises, car shows and more! Hey Chris, love the1/18 Greenlight Shelbys KRs!    It looks like one of them is done in lime green, and I think that color is kind of rare in the real Mc-koy.   I'm a big fan of the look of the inboards on that blue KR, very cool!

I'll try and post more pics in the next few days.

Later!

Hey guys, I was pretty busy today so I did post some cool pics of some full-size diecast. LOL:lol: It's a very cool 1952 GMC, C.O.E. custom car or truck hauler and it's about 80% done. The truck runs and drives. This would make one "Cool A**S Hauler"!!!   I'll be attending the very big Iola WI. car show and huge swap meet today.    Later!

A look at the rear of a Moffet 69 in contract to the previous 70 Boss.

A look at a weak moment with a computer and a credit card and a really weak moment for the Ford GT

Lastly, special paint GT500 KR from Acme. This is from the defunct Mustang Magazine Legend series. Good magazine, and Tom Shaw was a force in Mustang publishing for many years. Note the tool box in the truck, there is also a full spare kit and serial number in the trunk as well.

They're Greenlight and AutoWorld brands. Many online vendors have them, and Hobby Lobby has them as well.

Hey guys,  Hey Slow Lane:  is that steel wheels with dog dish hub caps on that 70 Mach 1, it sure looks like it!  Also, I have to tell you those posts of the Smokey Mountains in the background were simply amazing!  They look like they were taken by a professional photographer, is that what you really are or was ?  :camera:   Also, by the way, it sounds like the apple fell a little ways from the tree.    :drop:    With all your awesome "Big Boy Toys" over the years how did that happen!! :headscratch:   "Curiosity killed the cat"!:hysterical:

Hey Chris, very cool Batmobile and the price was right!   Got to love those red spinners.

Hey Slow Lane,  even if you didn't take that pic of the Smokeys, it's still a really cool pic in my book!    Also, if I remember right, weren't you and your brother when you guys were younger photographers for a magazine at track events ?  That had to be really cool and fun to do and also maybe meet some famous drivers.  Also, I gathered from a previous post that your son isn't really in to the car culture like you are,  but that's fine too!  And heck, you and I always have our Grandsons to groom in our image!!!  LOL:lol:    P.S.  Don't tell my son-inlaw!!!:)

Later Big Guy!

Mongoose... Yes we took pictures of many many races. The coolest guy was PJ Newman and one hell of a driver at that. He started racing at age 51. Can you believe that ?  2nd picture is me standing with my hands in my pockets. Just before he had to get back in  his car I believe . Hell thats 1973 I think  🤔

My son was riding in my 67 corvette in the subdivision when I hit the brakes and he hit his head slightly on the glove box door.....He was like 5 and that put an end to that. But I also hit him in the head during practice with a baseball at age 7 ..He went on to play college baseball for GT and the Rockeys for 3 years. Go figure and yes I’m working on his son.

Hey Slow Lane,  It must of been pretty cool hanging around by Paul Newman in the pits.  I have a picture of one of his old race cars that was driven at Road America, and if I remember right it was kind of a light purple color.  I'm sure hanging around tracks and taking pictures of all the race cars got your adrenaline going!   Sorry about your son when he was 5 hitting his head in your Corvette, because something like that can effect a young kid sometimes in a negative way towards something.  I too, had a very negative attitude towards my family Dentist when I was very young after he slapped me across my face for crying because it hurt alot.  I never forgot that moment, and it took a fair amount of years before I could trust the dentist again!  Well, I guess we both still have our young Grandsons to try and peak their interest in our cool and fun hobby of playing with the "Big Boy Toys".   LOL  :puppy_kiss:       P.S.  My two daughters learned to like cars alot, but then the oldest one ,about 37 decided that her and her husband would move to San Fransisco and find new jobs and then they sold their car. Now they use their "Boosted Battery Powered Boards" to get around alot.   And my younger daughter 34 likes cars alot, but her Husband wouldn't even mind driving a friggin mini-van, can you believe that!!  Her and I used to always say I hate mini-vans!  She's the head Industrial Designer were she works.  At one time, when she was younger, she said she wanted to be the head of the design dept. at GM. Go figure!

Later Big Guy!
