His vision was to knit together those people with the owners of early Shelby's and give everyone fun new ways to experience their high performance vehicles.   Mr. Shelby imagined a place where owners could talk about their latest conquests at the track, swap stories, share photos and learn new ways to hot rod their cars! He wanted to link all of the enthusiasts into one "dream garage"... thus, Team Shelby was born!   Team Shelby has many free, open access forums, news sections and member only areas dedicated to the community.   In addition, Team Shelby has a full series of events for 2018, which include VIP Experiences, track days, National & Regional gatherings, cruises, car shows and more! Hey Chris, I see you have been visiting Wally World in the "Big Boy Toy Aisle" again!   A few days back I had those exact Ford semis in my hand, and I did like them alot, although I thought they were a little pricey.   My wife and I decided they were cool, but I didn't really need more stuff, and no where to put it! :headscratch:   I see you picked up 3 cool Shelbys at the Shelby store,  very nice cars.   Cool red Eleanor  and 85th Birthday edition Shelby GT, and also the blue No.2  Shelby Racing and No.1,red Ford GT, and the others are all good picks!!

Thanks guys, but you've put up some pretty darn impressive stuff yourselves. Love those GT40s, and the treasures you've shared. Don't stop now! (And I have got to grab one of those red 2018 GTs!)

Mawrnin’ Goose. :salute:

hahaha, I did the same thing....had em in my hand and put em down....TWICE!!

Then I thought, I have developed quite a few M2 trucks and they’d make a nice addition to them once I get in the new house and have a really nice new display.

Someone on here said “you only live once”! Hmmmm....I wonder who that was?!

Hey Chris, thanks for getting back to me with the info, much appreciated!    Ya know that the Saturn Sky isn't really a bad looking car for the money, but it's to bad that it doesn't have more power!   I might have to check out one of those bad boy trucks!!!!!!    :hysterical2:           Later!                "GOOSE"         :peelout:

The Sky and the Solstice were brother cars. I liked the Solstice better myself.

The last year coupes were even sweeter IMHO.

There are some V8 transplants out there on the Solstices.... now THAT would be bad a$$!!!!

Hey Chris, looks like you snagged a number of cool cars and trucks.  I think my favorites are the yellow Ford truck and that cool Goodyear car hauler and that Hurst Olds isn't too bad either!   The 1/18th Shelby GT, White w/ Blue stripes and blue top is definitely different looking and kind of cool depending on what that blue on the roof really looks like, I.M.O.!    As far as the Solstice goes , my brother in-law was one of the first few to get one when they first came out.   Also if I remember right they have a brother car in Europe called the Opal!!    P.S.  How did you get Gina to go along with all these new purchases and where the heck are you going to put them!!:lol:LOL    :drop:

Hey guys,  the pic I'm posting is one of Shelby Collectibles:  The awesome 1966 Ford GT40 MkII.  It's powered by the 7.O-litre V8, and these GT40s were used to dominate races in Riverside,Daytona, and Sebring.  These races all lead up to the grand finale at the grueling 24 hour LeMans race in 1966, where the GT-40 swept the podium with a 1-2-3 finish!!!!! :worship:

I purchased this cool 1/18th, No.2 GT-40, blue/white stripes about 2 weeks ago at a Mier's store on clearance for 50% off,  I really couldn't let this one get away!!!!  LOL :hysterical2:

Picked this up a few days ago.  Is plastic, so not technically a die-cast, but I think you will like it anyway.

It’s a 1/24 scale slot car by Carrera.  The detail is very nice, and I haven’t seen this car in this scale previously.  If you actually put in on the slot car track, the head lights and tail lights will illuminate (I may have to rig something up for display).

Hey Falcon: very cool cars, I especially like the Hot Wheels Forza Motorsports GT's Colors.  Also, I've never seen the 3 cars in the first pic. They kind of look like there made out of Legos, if I didn't know any better!  LOL       Later!    "MONGOOSE"    :peelout:

Hey Guys,    My wife and I attended a very cool themed car show on Friday.   It was called the SymcoWeekender, and this is the second year we attended this very cool show and swap meet.  It's a more back in the 50s  type of show that has pin-up girls contest, burn-out contests, flame thrower contest, very cool mini-bike drags with over 100 of them all different and some ladies and pin-up girls also race them!   It' also a very reasonable show with $1.00 beer, soda, or water, and the food very reasonable too!    I'm posting a couple of pictures of what I bought there for a total of $20.00!    The cool little Truck Hauler is a Coe and it's hauling a  custom 1936 chevy pickup, I just thought it was cool and had to have it after I convinced my wife!!! LOL:cool:    The other piece I bought was just hand painted by a young guy who does painted custom designs on Hot Rods, Lead Sleds, and other things, and he was very talented and willing to haggle on his price.   Heck, even my wife likes it, "Cool"!!    P.S.   I'll try and post some pics from the show if I can get them on here!:camera:     I did manage to get one pic of a big old Buick with a really custom paint job, super shiny with some other types of things in the paint you probably won't be able to see, and that car was also hauling that Vintage Trailer behind it!

Will check it out.

Here's a different piece as well. The Bricklin is a signed edition from the designer, Herb Grasse, who unfortunately passed not long after these were offered. Mr. Grasse also worked for George Barris and had a hand in transforming the Lincoln Futura in to the Batmobile.

Hey Falcon, very nice rare piece, and it's a keeper too.  A number of years back a local guy had a white one that I always admired and thought it was pretty cool.  And I do remember George Barris and the Batmobile.      Later!       "MONGOOSE"     :peelout:

Love those slot cars. Setting up a display that would light up the head lights would be cool as hell. For that scale they really have excellent detail and they produce a lot of 70’s race cars. My favorite is the PJ MUSTANG.
