I gave one of my students a ride today. When he got out of my car - I tried to grab his butt!! :redcard:

 

Man - he was embarrassed! :hysterical:

 

He won't look at me any more.

I know that feeling :) When I got the KB on at evolution last yr and then went on the test drive and thought I was going to get put through the seat:) It was a good scared!!!

 

My car is now at a point where I am very careful about who drives it and where. They have to go on a ride first to get a feel for what is going to happen. I can't just let people drive the car anymore. It's very streetable and easy to drive but it you don't respect it and know what it can do it will hurt some one. More than the power it's the throttle response and how fast it gets that power. I love it!

Good thing I got to drive it early in its life. :happy feet:

Yes - but I think I could still let you drive it....In fact about any GT500 Owner or real car person probably would be smart enough to feel it out before stepping on it. It's the people that come to visit and want to drive it - i let them all when i had the stage 4 set up but with that KB it's a whole new animal. I assume any of the aftermarket blowers do the same thing but I've only driven the KB so I can't say for sure but where you used to hope for cool days for more power now you hope for warm ones for better traction :)

Sorry this has been ignored. I was out at evolution the last few days and I may have a wet spot in my drivers seat now. I am honestly afraid to got push this thing now. I want to get it on the track and see what I can do with a little practice but I may actually have to back it down a little bit. It's amazing the power now. With the KB, Evo's fuel system, the lower pulley....WOW. I had a highly modified Dodge Charger SRT-8 pull up along side of me on the trip back and want to play some games. I just reved the engine and he rolled the window down to ask what the hell waqs under the hood. I then proceeded to lightly roll onto the throttle in 4th and in a blink I was over 110 on the trooper infested PA turnpike. I let off and slowed down and 20 seconds later he was back next to me. Followed me to the gas station and we talked. He was a nice guy about my age (mid 30's) and the Charger was as nice looking as any I've seen. He said he was running about 560 rwhp. I told him him I had just been to Evolution and was coming home with nearly 800 and his jaw dropped. I showed him the dyno sheet and and he couldn't believe it. What i didn't tell him is that I was driving on the tune set up for 91 octane pump gas withno torco incase I ever need it because it "only" had about 730 rwhp. I actually changed to the 93 and torco tune at the next fill up and the car ran better in my opinion with the extra timing in that tune. I am waiting for some good weather to get out and find some space to learn where the tires break loose so I know what to do when I want to play. I can't race hard on the street right now bcause I just don't know and the think is a so fast it really can scare you easy.

 

I have a couple of little things to work out yet on it. I have a little bump I don't care for on some bumps in the road. I think it is the custome exhause hitting the floor board so that will need to be welded in place when we get it on a lift and if that doesn't stop it I'll have to look at the rear driveshaft loop I just had added. I think once I see what I can do on the track though I very well may look at dropping the power back some. I feel like I may have crossed from a street car that can do damn good at racing to a race car that is damn nice on the street and I don't really want to be over that line.

 

Oh - back to topic - I'll see about some pics when we are both in town. Lot's of travel lately for each of us.

I had mine out on the PA Turnpike this weekend too. Drove up to Seven Springs and back… only about 200 miles or so in total for me. Surprisingly I only saw one trooper on the turnpike, and he already had someone pulled over. Sure was great to go for a ride. Still need it to warm up though so the tires get a little better traction!

Must be out :shift: since the weather is getting better.

 

 

We got a 2nd round of colds/flu as the weather changes back and forth and they breed the strep virus at Kyle's pre-school. Someday soon new pics will cme about but she's already working me on the need new outfits angle. I'd rather have a clean car in the pictures than new outfits :)

 

Also - the exhaust clunk on the floor is solved. When we had it up on the lift to put in the true trac differential we flipped the bolts on the rear safety loop and that's all it took. No more clunking. Differential is in but have not really tested it other than the drive home and no noticable change in that drive....other than no exhaust clunk on the floor. It was very eduactional though to help with this and see the difference in the way it works. The guys at Automotive specialists in Noblesville IN are great and teach me a lot everytime I go there.

 

We also discovered I can't put on the CHE K-member brace due to the headers - where this brace connects to the bell housing there is no place to get past the headers so look for a cheap brace to be for sale soon if you don't have headers it's a nice part.

It's almost May & you know what that means to me....... INDY 500 time :happy feet: :shift: :burnout:

 

Looks like at this time I'll be staying South of Carmel & East of the Pyramids off Ditch Rd. by 465. maybe we can hook up for a :beerchug: this time one of the weekends I'll be down their.

 

ps: I got a better camera if needed & a white car for Kelly to pose with :spiteful:
