He wanted to create a club for people to truly enjoy their cars. He knew the world had changed, and he wanted his companies to meet the needs of the new generation of Shelby owners. His vision was to knit together those people with the owners of early Shelby's and give everyone fun new ways to experience their high performance vehicles.   Mr. Shelby imagined a place where owners could talk about their latest conquests at the track, swap stories, share photos and learn new ways to hot rod their cars! He wanted to link all of the enthusiasts into one "dream garage"... thus, Team Shelby was born!   Team Shelby has many free, open access forums, news sections and member only areas dedicated to the community.   In addition, Team Shelby has a full series of events for 2018, which include VIP Experiences, track days, National & Regional gatherings, cruises, car shows and more! Ownership of a Shelby is not required to be a member. The club is dedicated to serving all Shelby enthusiasts past and present including those that own cars built in the 1960's and Shelby Dodges too! Can you still rent them, if so, anyone know where in LA for a LA to Vegas drive?

Recommended Posts

So, i'm looking for the details on where I could (if possible), rent a GT-H for a trip from LA to Vegas in October. Does anyone know of a place out here that rents them, and if so, any details on it? Mileage restrictions, cost, ect? Thanks!

I have heard that they were no longer available after August 1.

If anywhere, they would be at the airports. LAX & John Wayne had them. Maybe Burbank and San Diego. The last time I saw one on the road that appeared to be a rental was about two weeks ago.

Hertz has discontinued the GT-H program and switched to a special edition Corvette ZH, yeelow with a black stripe. Almost all if not all locations that have the Sport package available have made the switch, which began back in May. If Hertz reservations says that they have GT-H available, ask for a direct contact number to confirm. As far as I know all the GT-H cars have been pulled for auction or used car sale through selected delearships.

There is an '07 vert at the San Francisco Airport Hertz location. I couldn't read the CSM number (too dark in the garage). I was in SF for business this week and saw it there on Wednesday when I arrived.

By the way, it looked to be in really nice shape. No apparent battle damage.

I saw that same car two weeks ago when I was out in SF for the Rolex race. So call around. If you get lucky there may be one or two left to rent in the LA area.

I was in Jacksonville FL last week and they had 2 2007 GTH's and 3 2008 Z1h's available. The Shelbys were 130 a day.
