I just saw that. It sure is pretty sweet. How did you come about it? I have one of the hoods but of course it does not have everyones signature.

Can you give us any additional history?

Thanks

For sure: I was the director of production at Shelby, working for Gary Davis. I went to work for Shelby in March of '06 and built the line and the team that has built the '06 GT-H (and every Mustang between '06 and '08). These hoods, signed by the whole team were given to the 30 or so guys/gals on that original team. We lined them up next to each other and had everybody sign each of them. The first 10 were given to the management team and other VIPs. I chose #6 to match with '06...

I'm cleaning my storage place and I would like to find a good and appreciative home for this hood.

Happy bidding,

AJ

As a side story, just when I pushed "Add Reply" there was a Time Warner Cable commercial came up with the original chase scene between the GT-H and the cop car:

Since reserve is already met, it will definitely go to a new home. It deserves a nice garage :banvictory:

Very nice. AJ can you shed some lite on the hoods that were packaged with large star on the box. I have hood # 120 and it had a star and the box and also indicated that the hood was signed sideways. It also seems to have only one R in Carrol. I posted pictures on the GT-H site. See post 45 in Signed GT-H hood thread

Very cool item. I don't have a GT-H, but it would be a really nice item to have.

Nice GT you have there. Is that the deep draw hood on it or the CS6/CS8/GT-H hood?

A cool thing is that it is only $69.00 for Shipping. Most places charge $150.00 to $300.00 for Shipping of a new Fiberglass Hood.

Yep, CS6 hood. Installed at SAI in 2007.

Final price was $1851.00, a very fair price.

If the hood goes to a good home, I'm happy :-). I've been feeling bad about not displaying it, but the wifey didn't want it in the living room for some reason....

really its just like having a family photo.

Yes and no, really. It's more like a pinging that people put in a safe deposit box instead of hanging it on their wall. I truly hope it gets displayed well in its new home...

They have a special Plaque affixed to them.

I remember this thread. The hood was a great item and I became an acquaintance with AJ because of this thread. Although I didn't wind up with AJ's hood it's still super cool to have one of the autographed hoods from 06 GT-H production.

I have two GT H hoods 1 with all signatures ( this one has a certificate of authenticity ) and one with just Carroll's signature. They are pretty cool items.

I've got the GT-H hood with all the signatures that hung in the old museum out in North Vegas. The hoods with all the signatures are awesome and super rare. I think only 6 or 7 of them out there.

The way I understand from Shelby there were 4 GT H hoods signed by everyone. Who knows but that's what I have been told. Also they were not number 1 through 4. It was 4 out of the first 10.

Only 4,...... that's pretty rare. I've got # 10 so what # do you have Phyllis? Did you get yours from AJ?

I saw the one a couple months ago on ebay from the Shelby store and I know where one other is. I guess that sounds correct. Only 4 of them out there.

I wish I could tell you but at this time I have to keep it a to myself. But I will say it was from a top top top person at Shelby. MKW
