Losing Razor Wheel Finish...

Recommended Posts

Looks like I'm losing the "clear" finish on my GunMetal Razors... Usually wash by hand with Zainos Soap, but after recent long road trip in the rain, I spray washed it to remove heavy grime and noticed this happening. It's worse on the fronts than the rear wheels.

Guess I'll need them re-finished... any suggestions?

Keith, I just had all mine redone. They power coated the black and then cleared it all again. The original clearcoat is crap. You will need to find the rivets as they are plastic and some won't make it thru the process :(. The guy I used here did an awesome job. Just waiting on rivets.

Made in China Rob.

Thanks Sherri! Would not for a second have guessed the rivets are plastic....

Even though they look like crap at the moment, they still have the "20ft shine", so I'm headed out to Mustangs at the Mountain show this morning in Stone Mountain, GA. Gonna click over 30,000 on the odometer on the way!

Vegas,

They were part of my 40th Anniversary package from Shelby...
