He wanted to create a club for people to truly enjoy their cars. He knew the world had changed, and he wanted his companies to meet the needs of the new generation of Shelby owners. His vision was to knit together those people with the owners of early Shelby's and give everyone fun new ways to experience their high performance vehicles.   Mr. Shelby imagined a place where owners could talk about their latest conquests at the track, swap stories, share photos and learn new ways to hot rod their cars! He wanted to link all of the enthusiasts into one "dream garage"... thus, Team Shelby was born!   Team Shelby has many free, open access forums, news sections and member only areas dedicated to the community.   In addition, Team Shelby has a full series of events for 2018, which include VIP Experiences, track days, National & Regional gatherings, cruises, car shows and more! WOW, REALLY trying to pass off a Mustang GT COUPE as a Shelby GT 350, a Carroll Shelby Autograph Edition, a Cobra AND a Hatchback? I wonder if he even knows what a Hatchback IS? Bragging about being in business for 28 Years and they are trying to SCAM someone? Makes me wonder how many people they may have scammed over the Years. I have the VIN# writen down and when it sells, I will be contacting the new Owner to educate them on this Scam then I am sure they will be contacting a Lawyer.

Make sure you tell him to register it in the Shelby registry.

You should listen to the video. "if you're not checking for goose bumps, you should be checking your pulse". Funny stuff.

This sort of stuff is not necessarily a direct reflection of the stealership. I said "not necessarily", and here's why.

I worked most of my early life at many different stealers. The person that writes these things and posts them is usually a cameraman, first and foremost. These individuals are also sometimes women. Therefore, it's their job to get pics and and sometimes do the write ups. In other situations, the pics are taken and a totally different person does the write up and they may have ZERO idea what constitutes a (in this case) Shelby automobile. But they see Shelby badging and other items that make them just run with it. Let's face it, most people have no idea who the "Man" even was, or heard of him.

I'm not giving these Ozobs a pass, believe me......just trying to play Devils advocate.

Edit- And if it's not a Ford stealer.........even worse!

Wow......

I looked up the VIN in VIN decoder.com and it actually lists it as a GT500

I then looked it up on Ford Parts.com and it's a 5.0 GT with auto transmission.

I wonder if there is a way to let those folks know that car isn't a real Shelby.

YES, go to the Site and on the Left is an Orange Box that says "Email This Seller".

Never mind, I either missed it or someone informed them that the car isn't a real Shelby. The listing now calls it a "Replica Coupe"

I wrote them last night and mentioned that they might use the word TRIBUTE.

Would you point out where on the car it states that the car is an "Autograph Edition" model? How can they "run with it" when its not even there? Someone made that statement up.

And now they feel that what they're doing is ok because they added the word "replica" to their ad? What car does it replicate? It certainly does not replicate a SAI built 2013 Shelby GT350.

There have been 5 or six potential buyers that seemed to have no problem picking up the phone and calling Shelby American for verification so why is the dealer unable to do the same? I have my opinion why they haven't and they are not the first and wont be the last not to do so.

Or better yet, how hard is it to Google 2013 Shelby GT350 and realize that the car they have on their lot looks nothing like all the photos shown on Google or SAI's website.

They would probably call it a Signature Yenko Series Custom RS/SS Limited Corvette Based Camaro based off a 6 cylinder Nova.

They are calling it a "Carroll Shelby Signature Edition" because of the Signature on the Dash, I can't tell if it is a Signature or a Decal though. It has Shelby Badging all over it (Deck Lid, Grill, Headrests, Console) so they "Ran with it". It's a "USED" Car Lot, that's what they do.

David, its a decal.

I was playing devils advocate back at BB because he was using the theory that whoever wrote the ad knows nothing about Shelby's or who Carroll Shelby was, so my counterpoint was then where does the CS autograph edition moniker come from in their for sale ad since there isn't a plaque or side stripes using those words anywhere on this car.

Due to privacy reasons I haven't posted what some of these potential buyers, who have called SAI, claim that the seller is telling them but lets just say it has to do with a Mustang coming into Nevada and the owner leaving $20k somewhere in the state. I'll let you guess at what location the owner claims to have stopped at in Nevada and what business they claim to have left $20k at.

I'm out.......

My only point was that there are very few people who know what or whom Carroll is (was) or stood for.

And car stealerships, of all things, aren't typically run by "car" people. They're too often run by people out for one thing, and one thing only......... $$$
