He wanted to create a club for people to truly enjoy their cars. He knew the world had changed, and he wanted his companies to meet the needs of the new generation of Shelby owners. His vision was to knit together those people with the owners of early Shelby's and give everyone fun new ways to experience their high performance vehicles.   Mr. Shelby imagined a place where owners could talk about their latest conquests at the track, swap stories, share photos and learn new ways to hot rod their cars! He wanted to link all of the enthusiasts into one "dream garage"... thus, Team Shelby was born!   Team Shelby has many free, open access forums, news sections and member only areas dedicated to the community.   In addition, Team Shelby has a full series of events for 2019, which include VIP Experiences, track days, National & Regional gatherings, cruises, car shows and more! Ownership of a Shelby is not required to be a member. The club is dedicated to serving all Shelby enthusiasts past and present including those that own cars built in the 1960's and Shelby Dodges too! Heck was there a G.T 500 one????????????????????

Nope... SAI didn't build the GT500.

And I'd also like for these to be brought back, I missed out the 1st production run.

I contacted Shelby about these banners because I did not take advantage of them when they were available.

Unfortuantely, I was told that the distributor they used to produce the banners was no longer in business. Therefore, that is why production stopped. I wonder if they could find another company to produce them. Maybe if there was enough demand they would consider it. I know several people on this forum alone that would be one or all. ?

yes! so wish I had grabbed one when they were for sale. now it makes me want to buy everything and keep it preserved. when my old man days get here, I want to open a Museum highlighting Team Shelby. I have a long way to go, but I am sticking to the plan(20year goal #59)

I'm glad I bought mine when they were available, I didn't realize they stopped making them, that was a really short run.

Thought SAI made 5.651 2007 GT's VS. 5,632 identified on the banner??

I am not sure, but I have 5696, I have not found a higher number then mine yet. I know some numbers are not in order of assembly, but I have to think mine was one of the last ones.

Yes 5,651 Shelby GT's for the 2007 model year.

07SGT5699 was the highest CSM number used. There were some number gaps which is why the final CSM number is higher than the total build number.

I have had a production banner for my Shelby for almost 8 years and have never unfurled it yet. Actually don't remember/know exactly what it looks like! Just moved and setting up the new garage so I will open it up and post a pic. They're custom printed, so they should be relatively easy to produce from a manufacturing standpoint...

They never reproduced the HERTZ banners like the SGT etc becouse of copy rights with HERTZ.  Beleive me, several of us asked.

Thanks Harald. I have some learning to do on the GT-H.  I'm late to the game, but always loved these cars. I'm glad to finally own one.  I've admired yours at a couple of different bashes!
