Our Ford Dealer has a GT 350......

Recommended Posts

Our Ford Dealer has a Dark Gray Metallic Stripe Delete GT 350 with an MSRP of just under $58K. What baffled me was a sticker on the Windshield at said it comes with a 200K Mile 20 Year Warranty.

A FoMoCo warranty or some 3rd party company? What happened to the monstrous mark ups that dealers were asking not long ago?

I will try to swing by the Dealer and take some Pics.

and 58k is still too much. wait, do.t buy, soon they will be 5k under MSRP. stop paying the markups. Ford is continuing production through 2019 and rumor has it that a twin clutch auto is in the works for 2018. So as soon as its official, the 350's will be attainable by all and the ones who have paid these mark ups are going to feel a pit in their stomachs, that is if money matters!

Many dealers are now offering these lengthy warranties that come with strings attached such as an extensive preventive service schedule that must be performed by the dealership among other hoops that must be jumped through.

Just sayin.

Yeah, all of a sudden, 2016 Tech pack cars are lining up on lots. We all know why, but luck for us, these dealers who haven't a clue what they even sell are dropping prices on all assuming demand is slipping.

I still see dealers convinced they are getting new Ford GT allocations and trying to take deposits. Crooks.

Having spend 5 years as a Ford Mo Co field rep the only extended warranty plan worth considering is the Ford Motor ESP.

Everything else is a roll of the dice.

Or just post a link to the dealer site. If it is still available it will show up (with window sticker)

Our Dealer has 2 Shelby's. I like how they give you an "MSRP" Price in the Add but when you bring up the actual Window Sticker, the MSRP price is LOWER. I can't find anything about the 200,000 20 Year Warranty on their Web Site.

Yes, they claim that is the MSRP, but the sticker price is not properly shown in the listing. Sleazy. But anyone looking at the car will see it and any serious looker will also open up the sticker to see what options are listed. They need to get rid of the ADM on the 16. It will end up selling for less because of the issues with them overheating. Tech pack cars are basically street cars.

One of my friends was at a local SoCal dealer this past weekend in the Coachella Valley, and made a large deposit for a GT350 on the showroom floor. The dealer told him that they will be able to let him take the car home in the next few months when the recall on the fuel line is completed. Then the Finance Manager told him there was an open campaign for a recall on the airbags, and they couldn't release the car. He called me to see if I was aware of either alleged recall, or if the dealer if blowing smoke to keep the car in the showroom longer. Has anyone on the forum heard about any open recalls ? If so, fuel line system, or Takata airbag problem ? Any help would be greatly appreciated, since he gave a $ 50% deposit ( no markup ) he feels the car should be drivable. Thanks, Mark

The hold on GT350 sales is due to a problem with oil hoses. Ford has decided not to sell vehicles until the repairs can be completed. That is Ford's decision not a federal requirement.

If I were your friend I'd ask for my deposit back since they will use the money. If they are honest he will still get the car when the embargo is lifted.

Also not aware of any airbag issues on 2016-2017 models. That one does sound like blowing smoke..... If Ford couldn't sell any Mustangs right now due to an airbag issue on current models, I think that would be a pretty big story out there.

The GT350's do have a delivery hold due to the oil hose recall. I'm not aware of any recalls for a fuel hose or airbag issue for the 2016-17 GT350's.

I suspect the finance manager is thinking of the 2005-14 Mustang air bag recall and whoever told your friend fuel hose meant oil hose.
