He wanted to create a club for people to truly enjoy their cars. He knew the world had changed, and he wanted his companies to meet the needs of the new generation of Shelby owners. His vision was to knit together those people with the owners of early Shelby's and give everyone fun new ways to experience their high performance vehicles.   Mr. Shelby imagined a place where owners could talk about their latest conquests at the track, swap stories, share photos and learn new ways to hot rod their cars! He wanted to link all of the enthusiasts into one "dream garage"... thus, Team Shelby was born!   Team Shelby has many free, open access forums, news sections and member only areas dedicated to the community.   In addition, Team Shelby has a full series of events for 2018, which include VIP Experiences, track days, National & Regional gatherings, cruises, car shows and more! Ownership of a Shelby is not required to be a member. The club is dedicated to serving all Shelby enthusiasts past and present including those that own cars built in the 1960's and Shelby Dodges too! Almost sounds as though someone wanted to verify the authenticity of one of those numbers and you're trying to nip it in the bud!

Thanks Steve.

You are a great wealth of knowledge and very helpful to our community. Much appreciated.

For the Terlingua builds from 2005 - 2009, I have a complete listing as the registrar working under Steve, who is always the most knowledgeable. I can and will gladly help anytime with info about these builds, authenticity, CSM etc. just ask by dropping me an email. David at vorpl8@yahoo.com

I just acquired a dash plaque and engine serial #. Going to be at the 18’ Bash with it being proudly displayed as 07TRT0055. The TRT will stand for Terlingua Racing Tribute and will be noted as such!

I have seen around two or three TRT Plaques on eBay. From two consistent sellers. I even have found one on Craig'slist. I considered purchasing one to have as a souvenir. Is it "taboo" to buy one, as it may seem one may try to make a fake (not I)? What are your guys thoughts.

Could be ! Kind of appears that SAI-Steven has left TS too.

I had dinner with him the other night.  Trust me, everyone at Shelby is very busy.  Forums are not at the top of their to-do lists.  Maybe now that the bash is over

would be nice to know the story behind these items.  i took interest in one and bought it.  they are very nice pieces.  would like to know if they were

left overs that someone escaped with. or is someone making fakes? for half the price i almost bought one that was from Canada but didn't. if anyone

knows the story please share.

My guess is they are left overs from cars that were never built.  If someone was out there making fakes we would see SS, KR and SGTout there as well.

I've got a set too.  Very nice indeed.  I've got #52.  What number do you have Gene?

#82!  That probably means there's at least 30 sets of these unused plate sets out there.

They are really nice sets and I'm glad I've got a set.

FYI: Considering the size, you can send those dash packs by USPS for the same mailing price to all 50 States. Only using UPS or FedEx costs more to Alaska and Hawaii.

After I moved I lost the email I had with where and how to buy Terlingua decals the better color one for the car and if any hats available

I am going to get a Racing helmet for mine paint it Red and will have the Rabbits air brushed on

I seen they made a 2015 Shelby GT diecast Yellow in 1:18 and wouldn't it be great to have our 2016 Terlingua's in 1:18
