Thanks Keef. G wants that hood too.......  I’m not doing that. Waaaaaay too much deniro.

Why did I know YOU would catch those words all in one post?????????!

Only Tek would point that out, besides you, but he don’t come around here much.

Thanks Gooser! Ummm, no, this is NOT G’s truck. It’s my new DD.

And you wanted a “clue” to what our newest toy was? Well........................ We sold the 350, and are hot on a super low mile Porsche Cayman for G’s DD in Az.

The 350 is headed to Miami. End of March it will be picked up in Az. June would be three years in my possession, and it has only 2350 miles on it. It’s the least used of all my cars. So it doesn’t make sense to hang on to it. :(

Yeah think the sport hood was $1700 without the paintjob...if memory serves me right I believe the total cost was $2200.

Here is my SGT, all finished at SAI. The new owner sent me these pics last night from the Bash.

Looks amazing!

The wheels are CS3’s. I have no idea what he spent, so don’t ask. It wasn’t cheap...I know that. But it has to be one of the lowest mike examples out there. He did BREMBO front brakes and the mid draw hood. I see they finally changed out the fender rocker decals. That was the last thing to do. He kept my taillamp bezels :happyfeet:

I am jealous, not gonna lie. :worship:

Hey all you car guys out there, it's been kind of a slow day on this C8 forum, so I thought I'll post a pic of the Car that started getting the ball a-rolling in the beginning!!    It was 1953 and the Chevy Boys decided to roll out their NEW, first of it's kind, 2 seater sports car made out of "Fiberglass"!   It had what we call (Bird Cage Headlights) and it was powered by a in-line 6cyl. with 3 carbs sitting on it!   The Engine was called "The Blue Flame Six", and their new Fiberglass sports car was Named the Chevrolet Corvette!   The name Corvette evolved and it came from the name of a Naval fighting ship!  A few years down the road Corvette got some much needed extra horse-power by installing V-8s in them, and that is when the Corvette became of age and started to be taken seriously by the World!         Once the Corvette started rolling there was no stoping it!   It's a "LEGEND" and a "ICON" the World -over, and it's been around for about 65 years!!!          "Love IT"  or "HATE IT",    It's one HELL of a CAR in my "BOOK"!!                        J.M.O.         Later Guys!             "GOOSE"   :peelout:       P. S.    The New C8 that's coming down the pipe is going to be the next new "Super Car" powered by a Mid-Engine that alot of fans have been waiting for!!      Are you listening S.L. !!!      LOL. :hysterical:

Nice!!……….Yup two of my Uncles served on Corvette's...The "New Glasgow" and the "Sackville".... the Sackville is the only surviving Corvette left in the world

and it's docked permanently in Halifax Harbour Nova Scotia's largest city....they're main mission was to escort convoys of merchant supply ships from Canada

and NY to England for the war effort in WWII....My Uncle used to go visit his ship every summer most of his life till he could no more....I toured the ship with him many

times and it was interesting to listen to the stuff they went through and exactly where he was on the ship during certain events which there were many...during

times on the attack by submarines he was in charge of the depth charges at the very stern of the ship...….Just one more reason I love Corvettes....Glad you

new that Goose!!………. …….My other Uncle that served on the New Glasgow never did talk much about his time in the Navy during war.

Hey Keefer, glad I could bring back some good memories for ya concerning your Uncle's  service in the Merchant Marines and serving on the "COOL"  Corvette's.... The "New Glasgow" and the "Sackville" !!!         My father was a Navy man and he loved it!   He served on the USS. Pickaway, it was a (Attack Transport) ship!   My mom used to tell my Dad that she wanted to travel when he retired and he would tell her that he's been all over the world while in the Navy!!   He's been over, under, and on the "Golden Gate bridge" , crossed the "Equator", visited the Hawaiian Islands, (Shore Leave) :slapfight:,  and lots of other cool places!!    :)    So, travel didn't interest him at all!  :(         P.S.  In the Navy he did learn to "ENJOY" a good bottle of "BEER"!!!     LOL     :hysterical:                Later Bud!                     "GOOSE"         :peelout:

Yes they sure liked their beer!!…….:hysterical: …….I guess I don't blame him after traveling around the world what more could one see....One of my Uncles did

travel after the war as he stayed in the Navy and did cross the equator I believe he said once you do that you're known as a Leather Back if I'm not mistaken

they went to Brazil....Also had an Uncle that served in the US Military as a paratrooper he parachuted in France on D-Day he lived in Welmington Mass and I do

have his folded American Flag that my Aunt gave me after he passed away in the mid 90's and which I will pass on to one of my boys after I'm gone of course.

I thank your Uncle for his service....:salute: …..Problem these days the new generation don't have any respect for what these men went through and sacrificed

for us being free today.

Hey Keefer, very cool and interesting!  My uncle also served in the Military and was also in France at the time they got rescued, so he was decorated by the French.   I don't remember exactly what it was called, but it was a fairly long cool braided colored rope type, (I think green), badge of honor!   He was very proud of it,  he also had time fighting Hitler's Army and he had a few War souvenirs, like a Bayonete and a Hitler's Youth knife!    I'm very sad to say all this War Experience finally took a toll on this very quite man who never wanted to talk about all the bad thinks that happened in the WAR!      R.I.P.   Uncle Henry!                    Thank your Uncles for serving their Country!            This was the great generation of men who served their country to help protect Freedom for every one!!              This Generation was all about "RESPECT"  and  "HONOR" !                  Later Bud!            "GOOSE"       :peelout:

Hey Chris,  the Orange with the Black accents helps it look pretty cool and racy, but I'm not really a fan of totally Black rims!     The car definitely would stand out in a crowd!!   J.M.O.

Later Bud!              "GOOSE"        :peelout:          P.S.   I love the 700 ++ , which really means the Ford Boys are still planing on pumping it up in the H.P. Dept.!!!        "COOL" let the games continue on !!!      :waiting:
