He wanted to create a club for people to truly enjoy their cars. He knew the world had changed, and he wanted his companies to meet the needs of the new generation of Shelby owners. His vision was to knit together those people with the owners of early Shelby's and give everyone fun new ways to experience their high performance vehicles.   Mr. Shelby imagined a place where owners could talk about their latest conquests at the track, swap stories, share photos and learn new ways to hot rod their cars! He wanted to link all of the enthusiasts into one "dream garage"... thus, Team Shelby was born!   Team Shelby has many free, open access forums, news sections and member only areas dedicated to the community.   In addition, Team Shelby has a full series of events for 2018, which include VIP Experiences, track days, National & Regional gatherings, cruises, car shows and more! Ownership of a Shelby is not required to be a member. The club is dedicated to serving all Shelby enthusiasts past and present including those that own cars built in the 1960's and Shelby Dodges too! Probably not deserving of it's own thread, but work has me put in Vegas next week and i have an afternoon free before I have to get back to the airport.  So, I check the website and I'm all giddy excited that the CS Museum is right around the corner from my hotel.  Hot damn, here I come!

I don't travel much, never been to Vegas and now the stars are all aligned.  Just wanted to share my "Woo-hoo!" moment with the collective.

Any advice?  I'll take it!

Take a cab, its always further than it looks on a map (from the hotel).

Allow at least 2 hours.

If you can time it; take the tour.

Don't buyout the store!

Enjoy!

Yes , take a cab! You will be amazed! It is so much better now that Shelby moved to their new location,it is so much closer to everything.

It used to be out by the racetrack it was quite a ways out!

And yes , don't buy the store out!

Have fun!

The new Shelby facility is outstanding. We have been there a couple of times. It is a must see if you are in Vegas.

I have been going to the SA shop almost every year since it first opened in the 90s out by the Vegas Speedway and was the only warehouse in the complex.  The new location is great and a super facility.  Definitely do not miss the tour (not happening on Sundays), the Heritage display, being able to check out the production facility and, of course, the gift shop, which can easily make you spend more than in a casino and the rewards are longer lasting!

I’m stoked, I don’t gamble, days and evenings are completely occupied while I’m on the ground other than the 5 hour gap between lunch and my flight out.  I blocked that out right away.  Taking a business associate from LA with me to serve him some Shelby Kool-Aid.

Did I mention I was stoked?

Thanks for all the advice and comments.

I’m jealous dude. I still haven’t been there. Been a TS member 12 years. Lived in Az (mostly) and really have no excuse. Shame on me.

I need to do it now.

Hey Chris, Hope you’re well!

I just got lucky and drew the straw on this one.  Team of three from my division got selected to do a technical conference and it just worked out.  The downside is two red-eye flights so I’m gonna maximize my time on the ground.

There are roads from all parts of Arizona that will lead you to Las Vegas and to Ensworth Street!  Even better road trip if you do it in a Shelby vehicle.

Don't feel bad, I used to get to Vegas every year or so for a convention, and I still haven't been there.  Last time I was in Vegas was a few months before the move, so I decided to save the mega-bucks for a cab, and wait for it to be moved.  And I figured I'd be back in a couple years at least.  But all the conventions I was going to there have decided to skip Vegas lately.  But I'll be in San Diego in Oct.  I'm gonna have to take a vacation out there for a few days at some point just to hit the museum.

Best times to drive to Vegas is in the spring and fall, when the its not too hot.

I lived in Vegas from '05 - '12, shooting poker photos (and playing :hide:).

I remember driving to Colorado and saw a sea of black and white mustangs in a large parking lot on the right, north of the city. Guess what year that was? I probably glanced at the car I have today.

Oh my.  In the Heritage Center now.  I think “overwhelming” is an understatement.   My fun money won’t last long.

The Heritage Center has learned from the Las Vegas hotels.  In the hotels you have to enter and exit at most through a casino.  The Heritage Center makes sure you enter and exit through the gift shop.  Very smart planning.  The former location first has a small side counter in the lobby that morphed into a larger separate room that  overtook CS' original front office. The shop has lots of changing items so you will be finding new stuff every year to melt your savings.

Not quite, but I did blow my budget cap.  It’s a very immersive experience.  A great delivery from Jim on the tour and I learned a lot about the Man, his mission and the Shelby heritage.  Also drooled liberally on myself over the cars in the facility.   I’m very happy I made the time to go.

I love that place! Usually visit once or twice a year and always leave with a Shelby bag in my hand.

Thanks for sharing the pics!

Great pics, especially of the 4 polished ones all in a row.

A number of the cars are owned by a good friend, including the Kona Shelby 1000, and the Grabber Blue Super Snake (which I drove back to Shelby from Pahrump a few years ago)

Glad you made it there, it is most definitely worth it.

I really enjoyed  our  visit  last  September .  The cab worked  out well for the trip to the Heritage Center and back. I was treated to a Shelby 1000 excelerating up  the  interstate  ramp upon arrival . Then had Vince Laviolette  talk to our tour group out in the shop area.  Vince had a huge role in the design of my Shelby GT. They made me feel like part of the Shelby family.
