He wanted to create a club for people to truly enjoy their cars. He knew the world had changed, and he wanted his companies to meet the needs of the new generation of Shelby owners. His vision was to knit together those people with the owners of early Shelby's and give everyone fun new ways to experience their high performance vehicles.   Mr. Shelby imagined a place where owners could talk about their latest conquests at the track, swap stories, share photos and learn new ways to hot rod their cars! He wanted to link all of the enthusiasts into one "dream garage"... thus, Team Shelby was born!   Team Shelby has many free, open access forums, news sections and member only areas dedicated to the community.   In addition, Team Shelby has a full series of events for 2018, which include VIP Experiences, track days, National & Regional gatherings, cruises, car shows and more! Looking at another Vette, what year? :lurk:

Just riding the bike around and stopped to eat at Texas Roadhouse. Installed a new rear backrest for Laurie:

What are you up to?

What about the Northwoods Shelby group?  They do events at a local track near Rockford, but I'm not sure where they're located.

They are no longer affiliated with SAAC, They run track events only

Thanks Keith, yeah if your son is younger he probably wants the faster race bikes because they are very fun to drive and he could handle it being a little less comfortable. The Vulcan is a very smooth running and driving bike. It rides like an older Cadillac and easy to drive with plenty of low-RPM power.

Yeah it's about a 4 hour drive to Halifax from here and he did say it rode very smooth.....I got to ask him what he's got but it's not really a crotch rocket

but it's all black and very mean looking bike.

I'm gonna guess he got a Yamaha FZ1. Does this look like it? It's a sport touring bike.

Hey guys,  The Yamaha V-Max with a 197 H.P. and that very cool and large air induction will be a real street screamer!!!   Keefer, I hope your son is a very seasoned and experienced rider because that's alot of horse-power and torque on two wheels he's riding.   I'd love to take one for a ride but I'd probably pull it up on the back wheel and scare the hell out of me!!!   LOL     I hope he enjoys his new bike and I wish him good luck and play it safe.  :)

Later!

Oh yeah he's a very good driver and much more sensible than his Dad when it comes to speed...:hysterical: …..he's 37 and very experienced around bikes

he used to race motor cross back in his teens...funny thing is he's the only one in the family that is into bikes...I never cared for them my youngest

son who's 26 isn't into them and no one else in my extended family ever was into them but he loves them...he's actually got two he's got that V-Max

and he's got an old Honda Magna V65...he restored it like new...personally I don't know much about them.

Thanks Sean...another thing he told me last night is that he finds the fuel tank on this one is to small compared to his Vulcan and

his old Honda V65...he can make it with both those bikes from Halifax to here without stopping but has to stop at least once with

this V-Max to fuel up.
