41 Years ago (1978) it was not an Iconic Car.  They were selling for $2,500 to $3,000 at the time, some times even less.  In 1983 I could have bought a 68 GT 500KR for just $3,200.

Not a waste, Bill built this building to preserve his GT-500, which is rust free. He rebuilt the 428 PI  in the early 1990s and saved everything.

That's great.  I think it's important for future generations to be able to find cars that are not yet restored.

Wow that would have been something I would  have grabbed up in a hurry  even back then.

At least it wasn't left in a field to rot while the owner kept telling interested buyers that he would fix it one day and to go away.  I love to a see a good find and rescue.
